DESIGN CHOICES: 

The design choices for Daiana’s logo were made to create a visual identity that is elegant, feminine, and premium. From the outset, the goal was to keep the design simple yet meaningful, avoiding a crowded or overly decorative look. A circular layout was chosen for its neat and complete appearance, making the logo versatile for applications such as packaging, social media, and promotional materials.

The inclusion of a floral illustration reflects the brand’s core identity as a florist. The illustration was drawn with a 1 pt stroke to achieve a soft, delicate look that aligns with the brand’s gentle and premium character. The thin lines also give the logo a clean and refined feel rather than a heavy or harsh one.

Typography was carefully considered as well. The brand name “Daiana” uses a script-style font to convey grace and a personal touch, while simpler fonts are applied to supporting text to maintain readability. The soft teal color was selected to evoke a calm and elegant mood, while still feeling fresh and feminine.

Overall, every design decision was made to ensure that all elements harmonize and clearly express the brand’s identity.

CHALLENGES: 

One of the challenges I faced during this project was deciding the final look of the logo. At the beginning, I had many ideas and references, which made it difficult to choose one clear direction. I needed time to narrow down the design so that it matched the premium florist concept without looking too complicated.

Another challenge was managing time throughout the design process. Some parts, such as refining the logo and making small adjustments, took longer than expected. This required me to plan my work more carefully and make decisions more efficiently in order to complete the project on time.

I also found it challenging to stay consistent with the overall design style. At certain stages, the design started to look slightly different from the original concept. To solve this, I often referred back to my initial inspiration and concept to ensure that the final logo remained aligned with the intended brand identity.

HOW THE DESIGN APPLIES DESIGN PRINCIPLE: 

In this logo design, the principle of balance plays an important role in creating a visually pleasing and elegant composition. The circular frame helps distribute all elements evenly, making the logo feel stable and well organized. The floral illustration is placed at the center to act as a soft focal point, while the brand name “Daiana” is positioned clearly in the middle to ensure it stands out without overpowering other elements.

The decorative border surrounding the logo is balanced with enough spacing so that it enhances the design without making it look too crowded. Supporting text such as “Premium Florist,” “EST 2025,” and the tagline are arranged symmetrically within the circle, allowing the viewer’s eyes to move naturally around the logo. This balanced arrangement creates a calm and refined visual experience, which reflects the premium and elegant identity of the florist brand. Overall, the use of balance helps the logo appear neat, harmonious, and suitable for different applications while maintaining its sophisticated character.
